China Accused of Stealing US Genomic Data

The US government has expressed growing concerns about foreign adversaries, particularly China, exploiting Americans' personal information for strategic gain. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the US and the Chinese Communist Party have highlighted the risks of data exploitation, including cyberattacks, data collection, and surveillance.
